I believe that your wedding day is all about you, for this reason I never use set lists of what you can and can’t have, with me you get a truly bespoke package that suits you and also your pocket.
From the first time we meet I am there to help and assist you, right the way up to delivery of your disc or products and beyond. After the initial contact via phone or email, I like to arrange an informal chat about your big day, it helps for us all to get to know each other and ensure that all parties are happy with each other. We may spend a long time together on your day so it is essential that you are happy with me, my personality and style. Your pre wedding meeting is free and there is no pressure for you to book me there and then.
Once you have made a decision to book, we can arrange a meeting for the paperwork to be filled in, at this point you will need to pay 50% of the price of your photography to ensure you reserve your wedding date in my diary. The other 50% of the bill will need to be paid any time up to 4 weeks before your wedding date.
For all my weddings I like to thoroughly plan all aspects of the photography, this means I will (usually) visit the venue of the wedding itself so that I can check for any restrictions in force during the service, meet the staff and find my way round. This ensures I can work out the best places to take photographs ready for your day, and see what the lighting levels are like. This visit usually takes place in the couple of weeks before your wedding date. I will also contact you for any lists of group photos you require.
During your day I will endeavor to record all the things that make your day truly unique and about you. From your flowers, dress details, and wedding rings, to your table settings. I love to photograph the emotion of the day, those little looks you may give each other, the way you interact with your guests and loved ones. All the small things that build up to make your day, these are the small things that over time you can forget, but once recorded on camera you can look back at them and remember the beauty forever.
What is your style of photography?
My style of wedding photography is natural, informal, reportage. I am not the sort of photographer who will bark orders at you through the day. It is your day, and I feel my job is to be as inconspicuous as possible while I record your memories for you.
What happens if something goes wrong?
For your peace of mind I am fully insured for wedding photography. I always bring with me two cameras, spare memory cards, spare flash units, and plenty of batteries, to ensure that if one piece of kit fails I always have a backup.
When should we book?
Ideally you should plan on booking as soon as you have made your decision that you would like me to cover your day, so that we can ensure you have the date you would like. However, I can sometimes still do weddings at short notice, so please do get in touch even if you think I may be booked for your date already.
Do you book more than one wedding a day?
No, I never book in for more than one wedding in a day, and I will also not book any other type of shoots for the same day that I have a wedding. I like to concentrate on you and your day without distraction.
How do we book?
Once we have had a pre wedding consultation, you can book at any time. All I ask is for a filled in contract to be returned and 50% of the cost of your package to be paid. PLEASE NOTE YOUR WEDDING IS NOT CONFIRMED WITH ME UNTIL BOTH INITIAL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE AND YOUR CONTRACT IS SIGNED AND RETURNED.
How do we pay?
You can pay by cash, cheque, bank transfer, credit or debit card. All payments are non refundable.
When is the final payment due?
The final payment is due 4 weeks before your wedding date. The precise date will be written on your contract which you will have a copy of.
Can I have more than one photographer?
Please note that I usually work on my own, so all quotes given are for one photographer. I can arrange a second photographer for part, or all of your day if required at extra cost to you, please do ask if it is something you may be interested in as I will need to check availability of the other photographer.
When will I receive my images?
I give a rough time of up to 6 weeks after your wedding date for your viewing gallery to be uploaded. Once you have checked your images and given the OK I can then arrange production of your bespoke USB box and create your USB for you, this may take up to 4 weeks due to production time of the bespoke box. I will always let you know if there are any hold ups.
If I want other products how long will it take?
Any bespoke products you would like, including photobooks and wall art, will be designed by me, this may take around 2 weeks, then you will receive a custom order contract, and preview of your order. This needs to be checked by you thoroughly that it has the correct images and also that all spellings are correct, once you have returned the preview sheets signed off I will send your order off. Once sent for production it may take up to 4 weeks for your items to be delivered back to me to check. I will of course keep you updated of any hold ups with production.
