Monthly Archives: February 2012

So in honour of today being the 29th of February, I had a game of frogs with my son.  Here is a leaping frog for leap year day!

This is a little montage for a wedding I shot over at the Avisford Park Hotel.   This wedding had a stunning blue and white theme, with the most gorgeous bridesmaid dresses!  I must say yet again, that a lot of the things I love to record about a wedding day is the details, all those little things that get forgotten about after all the hustle and bustle.  Gorgeous dress details, of course the rings, even the icing on the cake(s) and the way the light streams in through the window onto a veil.

I just love weddings!

Sometimes in wedding photography it is the little things that count, for this wedding I was drawn the couple’s hands.  I think they show just how in love the couple are.

This wedding was one of the last to be held at the Worthing registry office (which is now closed).

Please see my Wedding page if you are interested in having your wedding photos done. Weddings in the West Sussex, and Hampshire areas.

Friday saw an inset day at school, so I decided to take the kids over to the WWT at Arundel. The kids had a nice afternoon,  and the birds were not too shy either, I was especially pleased with the Robin who stood and posed for me for      a short time (even though the kids were being noisy!)  I am hoping to go back once the baby birds are around, as I love the little fluffy babies!

While we were there we spotted a pair of oyster catchers from one of the hides, it is the first time I have seen these, but unfortunately they were too far away for me to get a decent photo!

You can visit the WWT Arundel website here  Keep your eyes open on the website as they often run photography competitions too!

I have been meaning to have a go at smoke photos for ages, and having got a new remote flash trigger a couple of weeks ago (and having not taken any photos in the daytime for my 365 project) I decided that yesterday was the day to get the joss sticks lit and see what I could come up with!

This is a montage of  a few of the photos that I took.   Something I will definitely have to have another go at soon.  It is quite fun, and no two photos are the same.

On the other plus side my house now smells lovely of lavender!

You can find more of these on my   Facebook page

Gorgeous details

Here are a few of the getting ready details from a wedding that I have taken photos for. These are the little details that are all too easily forgotten in the hustle and bustle of your big day. They are the sort of thing that I  love to photograph so that you can remember them forever.
